Founded in 1997, G-TEK began in the telecommunication’s network maintenance industry for Bell and Expertech. Over the years, GTEK was able to rank itself amongst the big companies by showing rigor and professionalism with many clients such as:

G-TEK’s know how allowed him to climb rapidly amongst the leader of the underground infrastructure industry. For over 20 years, GTEK allows Quebecers to benefit from sustainable infrastructure by deploying new technologies such as optic fibre and electrical charging stations. In 2012, G-TEK widens its services by adding vacuum trucks for hydro-excavation, cleaning and pumping of access pits and sewers.

With over two decades of leadership experience spanning project management, engineering, and operations in the energy sector, Guillaume is a seasoned professional renowned for his strategic vision and unwavering commitment to excellence. Born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Guillaume has spearheaded the successful delivery of major transmission, substations, and distribution projects across Western and Eastern Canada. His collaborations with utilities offer a unique vantage point, providing valuable insights into clients’ needs and optimizing business operations.

Gilles Pelletier

Vice President, Operations, Valard Québec

Following his studies in Civil Engineering, Gilles has logged 35 years of experience in the construction sector. He started out in the field and gradually worked his way up through the ranks; he feels that this provided him with the opportunity to understand and solve challenges along the way, while always considering and staying aware of the consequences of his decisions. His development as a leader has been attained by working on many civil works projects – these included road construction, highway construction, bridge construction, water purification and underground infrastructure, and, of course, in the construction and rehabilitation of transmission lines, ranging from 69kV to 735kV.

Gilles joined Valard in 2014 as a Transmission line Manager – he has been instrumental in building a strong Transmission Line Team for Valard Quebec. The Muskrat Falls project provided Gilles and his team with the chance to work with their Valard colleagues from across Canada. Gilles has enthusiastically taken on the position of Vice President of Valard Quebec Operations.
